engine swap W8

The engine compartment in a scirocco is big enough to take all kinds of 
different 6-8 cyl. motors.  I've seen engines in scricco's from various 
american car co.'s.  The new VW W8 engine is supposed to be around the same 
size, or at least fit in a smaller area.  Anyone know of, or a place online,  
that might have the engine specs.?  Or if you've seen an engine photo, to 
compare it to the size of a vr 6.  
In a couple years,  W8 engines from wrecked cars will be easy to find.  Would 
be interesting to see a 8 cyl vw motor in a scirocco.
