RE: [Euro parts and the Law/Cops]
hehe, same here Cathy, I get no attention from the cops at the event with my
rocco, but many other with me attract attention (sound of car is usually the
first thing a cop will notice) then once he has found that "as soon as the
cop is around the bend I am going to NAILEDIT!! driver" he goes for the
kill...
seen it done so many time... and Scirocco's get it alot, then again alot of
them hang in abunch and race the roads at night and well.. get plenty of
ticket, have records of reckless driving, high speeds on the road tickets
and when the guy gets out at a show, takes only a few seconds for the cop to
tag the driver's plate into the computer to see if anything is pending...

We go to a lot of import events and the Honda guys all get hassled
mercilessly
for anything and everything that is not stock, but I often wonder if it is
HOW
they drive, not WHAT they have installed on what they drive. I haven't had
any
problems where I am with the Euro bumpers or white tails, but in areas
where
they have lots of street racing it may be another story, also, I'm not young
and male, so that may be a factor. You should ask local guys with modified
cars, they will know best what's normal in your area. I doubt the cop would
notice to tell you the truth.
