Your downpipe shouldn't be too long, that was on the early 2" race
downpipes...
But I guess it's possible... ;^)
Remove the clamp that holds the midpipe to the DP.
Release the muffler clamps, that hold the hangers to the muffler/pipe..
Push up at midpipe/cat flange, with the clamp off, PB Blaster or
something similar will help break it loose.
As long as it's not crimped, you should now be able to twist the whole
cat-back exhaust off the cat/downpipe.
I get good leverage (for twisting) holding the pipe right before where it
goes up to clear the axle, and where the resonator ends.
