US Navy 8 years. Most of the time I was in school.  The last two years 
were the most fun.  I was on the USS Savannah AOR-4 and I got to see 
more of Europe than I could have any other way.  Learned to ski in the 
French Alps, hung out :) on the topless beaches in Spain, Saw MT. Etna 
erupt, walked the streets of Pompeii, Got lost on the Italian AutoStrada 
in a Fiat van with FIVE on the tree!  Looking back, it was a good time 
for me.  It will teach you to get stuff done in a system that doesn't 
make a lot of since.  It seems like the people that traveled the most, 
liked what ever branch they were in.
