Re: ENOUGH ALREADY! was lug bolts with studs and nuts?

Gee folks, I didn't want to start a war here. I just wanted info on
where to get studs, and I got that from Cathy, Ben, and others (thanks
BTW for helping me out!).

AFA my experience, I just rotated the tires on my wife's minivan, a
Chrysler, and the studs made is soooo easy even with those big 16"
wheels and tires that I was amazed. Ergo, pass the VW studs please.
And at last cound I've had at least 8 American cars and 10 VW's, so I
do know the difference.

For those who don't believe how much difference a bad back can make,
well, take my word for it. Little things become big hassles, big
things sometimes become impossible. I've had to run to a wall when I
felt a sneeze coming, so I could put my forehead against it to prevent
the whipping motion and the associated agony from the "choo" part. The
pain has put me on the ground, seriously, then in bed for a day ("Hello
doc, I need more painkillers, I sneezed.") I wouldn't wish this
experience on too many people. Some, but not many.

Things are a LOT better now, but my own experience has been that studs
are far easier on _me_ (remember, that's me as with my condition,
strength, tools, and techniques). And for $40 or so, I'd like to
experiment...

Thanks for all the notes and observations...
