16v temp doing weird stuff

ok, guys,
    all of my past sciroccos seemed to get hot at idle (oil temp abt 120
peak), but cooled down just fine when moving. after driving the rieger down
to tampa this weekend i noticed that it only seems to get hotter as i get
faster. oil temp was abt 110c at 70-90 mph, and about 120c at 100-120. not
to mention the water temp is about 1/8" from the top line. i've never seen
this on a rocco before, its always run cooler the faster its gone. maybe i
have to comb out the radiator, check the thermostat, flush it all out, and
all the other typical crap before going to cincy.
