One Lap Of America and Yarrows 1.8t (also ND drive)

A friend of mine just completed the One Lap of America race ( you can
check it out at www.onelapofamerica.com ). He was racing a 91 Porsche
911 C2 Turbo and did okay after having a ton of mechanical problems. My
friends site is www.twofoolsracing.com

Of Scirocco note,
Yarrow Thorow was racing his Scirocco I with the 1.8t conversion and
dropped out after the first session of the first day. He at least earned
points though, which put him ahead of the DTM AMG Mercedes brought over
at a cost of $.5 Million and driven with a professional driver by
Comptech. They didn't even complete the first session!!! They bent a
wheel, tore of the $8,000 carbon fibre wind splitter and retired with
mechanical failure never to be seen from again.

Apparently Yarrow towed the car from Watkins Glen, NY to Boston and
then to the guys at APR where the did some chip development for him and
he met up with the rest of the one lappers at Road Atlanta. From there
on out, he seemed to do very well, and was placing in the mid-30's and
40's out of about 90 cars. Not too shabby considering the number of
Porsches, Vipers, Corvettes and other high dollar cars that are racing.

My buddy Josh Wyte, was talking to him at the final day at Watkins
Glen for the finale and Yarrow is planning on driving the car, leaving
Boston on Tuesday morning and meeting up with the guys in Los Angeles on
Thursday for the drive up the coast to ND.
Just some fun fyi for you guys
