stupid question (oil plug wrench size)

I thought every car was 17mm.  But thats definitely not the case on my
rocco.  What is the correct size wrench for the plug?

Also, I assume plugs designed for an 8 valve won't work on my 16v
(stupid parts store gave me the wrong plugs!)
