[TECH] Body Kit Question

I am seriously looking at an 81 S. It's red, and needs some light body work.
My question is this. Can the body kit from my 87 16v fit on it ? I'm
thinking it would look pretty cool with the 16v ground effects. Also, will
it make the car weigh a lot more ??? Enough to be noticable ? I plan on
dropping the 2.0 and 4k tranny into it. I can smell the burning rubber now
;-)
