I don't think you said whether the A/C clutch engages when you turn on the 
A/C.  If it doesn't, then the pressure in the system may be too low (look in 
the wiring diagram for the pressure switch).  Try buying an A/C kit and 
recharge the system yourself, if you have R-134 coolant I guess.  While your 
in there, buy a new drier/reciever and replace that too, it's like $25.00 
from the dealer.
