  Anywhere there's a connection in the a/c system, there's an o-ring. These
deteriorate and become deformed over time and need to be replaced to avoid
leaks. They NEED to be replaced with pieces designed to be used with
refrigerant. These o-rings are cheap insurance compared to spewing R12 out
of your system.
