UPDATE....Backfire in airbox, timing issues?
Doesn't the crank turn twice to each full revolution of the cam shaft? If
my thinking is correct it does. If this is true,...could the timing on the
crank be off by one full revolution? Like maybe the exhaust valves are
open/opening when the plugs fire,...hence the extreme heat from the exhaust
and the backfire? Or would one full revolution be so far out of whack that
the motor would not start/bend valves. Just whacking a few ideas around
here.
