I'd try it with the stock CIS-E, but for a back-up plan it would almost
certainly run better with an aftermarket fuel injection module (Haltech F9A
would be a good cheap option for you). You'd also need some pulsed
injectors and a way to mount the TPS. The main drawback might be the time
it would take you to tune it, but if you tune it yourself it would be about
the same cost as having a chip made, $1000 or so and you wouldn't have to
buy all of the Motronic schtuff.
I don't see why the stock would have any trouble unless it your 2.1L gets
starved, but if it works at lower compression it should work at high
compression, give or take a knock.
