Jonas;
I just guted the original lines going through the body on my '77 and was
able to pull the rear lines off of an 80 or 81 from a salvage yard, as well
as the rubber thingies that were installed on the lines (shock/wear
buffers?). Installed them with the proportioning valve from the doner car,
made some brackets from sheet metal and pop-rivited them to the pan about the
same locations as the doner car and sealed of the holes for the original
brake lines.
There was a link on the list before about factory recalls and this was a
major one for VW at the time, if I remember right (about as well as a
TRS-80). Wonder what kind of reaction one would get if you showed up at the
stealership with the recall info in hand and car in tow....
So how many bottles of fluid did you go thru'? :)
