I'll second that, seeing as I also own a 2000 Jetta.

Just for reference, I am in Charleston right now (I live in Tampa, FL) for a
DOT conference, and rather than take the wife's shiny new (automatic :p)
Jetta, I opted to drive the Roc.

NO REGRETS, THE ROC KICKS FUCKING ASS.

Don't sell 'em, and if you find 'em in your area cheap enough, BUY 'EM!!!!

Since I own both something "new and shiny" and a Scirocco, I can tell you
that you aren't missing much.  The Jetta is fun and reliable, but it ain't
no Scirocco.
