  Well, out of this, we found a not so bad 86 8v.

  The address below also listed another Scirocco for $1000

  New lowered front, new suspension all around, rebuilt tranny, new fuel
tank, some rust, a patched hole on the front pass fender. Lots of holes
in the inside left by stereo speakers, but Corrado front leather seats,
stumbling engine, loose driver's side door hinge, jammed pass door lock
...

  It has now been bought by my godson. A shop nearby (where I take mine)
did a mechanical inspection, and for another $1000 made a complete
inspection, tune up, replaced front bearings, fixed the leaky exhaust,
fixed the rattle in the seat mounts, and now it is quite fun to drive.

  The PO now has a set of 15" BBS mags for sale, complete with Kelly 205
50r15 low profile tires.
