I had one in my 87 16 V that was wrecked. It
allows the engine to rev quicker do to less weight.
Downside:
perhaps a little worse idle do
to less inertia and you do have to rev the engine higher when taking off from a
stop do to less momentum. Should allow a person to have a higher redline
though, with high tension valve springs.
Next time I replace the clutch in my 86 16V I will
go with a lightened flywheel again.
