POW RESCUE , just thought you all would wanna read this
as the vw journey picked up
i leave the shop only to grab what i can, as the crazy check starts rantign
about differnet things, so i grab a box of my parts and hit the road, only
to leave pissed off and with my 87 scirocco and 76 scirocco or my 2.1L
motor,
days go by i call to get my stuff weeks go by, and monhts go by, i am still
triyng to get him on the phone or talk to me when i get up there
so to get me stuff back he agrees to let me give him the camshaft that i owe
him and then he will give me a bill for the parts that i have and then he
will release my cars, so after trying to get him to sign a piece of paper
stating he would release my cars and nearly getting into a fight with him
about the whole thing and yes i mean a fist fight cause he did raise his
hands and try and rip the camshaft out of my hands (you should see what a
srhick lob can do to the inside of your palm when jerked) so needless to say
my hands were pretty torn up, so off to the lawyers i go to start in wiht
the legal angle, he tells me to gather all me recipets for every part that i
have at the shop (well some of the stuff i could not furnish recipets for
becuse they were given to me or taken off a wrecked vw form som ewhere,
so a gathering a do and the list i call on cause some stuff i got from the
guys here, i got most of the recipets i needed but still did not get enough
(the total i had was only 7800 USD in parts i was trying to get my 12K in
recipets. At this point i could have gotten him on assult and battery,(the
camshaft ordeal), detinue(not sure the spelling but it was someone sells
your property without consent), theft(obviousl reasons(87,76, motor parts),
and the labor board was kinda upset to hear of the way we were all treated
there. but i still needed to gather my resipts to i can get full money back.
i start talking to my friend and he agreed to step in and get in the middle
of this, so after 3 months more of wastign time he finally agrees to let me
stuff go, i have to leave out some of the details in how they got back and
what was all down but i did pay him for parts no labor on all things he did
for the 2.1L build,
Since 2 weeks before waterfest of last year i did not work for that shop,
and i did not have a car either, or a pyaign job ( so i interned for the
ravens last year and what a year it was superbowl baby anyways)
so this is what i have in my posession now
i currently have my 87 scirocco 16v with parts galore for it,
i have my 76 scirocco which is getting a 2.0L 8v installed as we speak)
the specs on that car are as follows, 2.0L 8v mechanical head 4-2 manifold
down race dpown race pipe and 2 inch exhaust with a 16v trans 10.1 " brakes
and full bilstiens
i would like to thank my granfather for footign the bill for that car to get
on the road adn even tho he cant read what i post here it is because of him
that i have my cars back.
i also have a my 2.1L 16V motor
83.5mm pistons (ross racing pistons)
total seal custom ring set
95.5 mm crank knife edged to cut ya
fully balnaced bottem end
race head shaved for 12:1 compression with larger intake valves and radial
valve job
276 shrick camshafts
50 mm golf manifold
4-1 race TT header
did i miss anything
anyways i get the 76 scirocco back fromt eh garage on weds or thurs of this
week ready to roll, only thign i need to do is get a md state inspection and
tags since i have had sinsurance on both cars for 2 years
just thought you all woudl like to knwo
