16v trim colors

My 16v has a black emblem in the grill, black mirrors and black Karmann badge on the pillar.  I've seen various pictures suggesting I should have body colored mirrors and a chrom emblem.  Does anyone know what I should have to be original?

I used a torch, VERY carefully. Keep using the heat gun. Maybe get your paws
on hotter heat gun and some ice for your digits.
