Well, I'm not the one who originally post this info... but I am currently
"smoothing" my bumpers too... I am using a bumper primer made by SEM. It
is in a spray can and will actually fill in all the little pits in the bumper.
I used almost an entire can on each bumper to get enough primer down to fill
these holes. The hard part is the sanding after...let the bumper dry overnight
and then use 400 grit paper and WET sand the entire bumper. This just takes
some hours of work and patience to get that final smooth finish...
Finally, I used a gloss black bumper paint (also SEM).
My first impressions are good...turned out nice. My only advice is to
spend the time to get the bumper completely sanded and smooth *before*
you actually paint it! Cause then you will regret not doing it right the
first time!
