(OT) broken light? (JOKE)

OK. I was driving my need for speed scirocco today. I noticed that the
coolant warning light is staying on. What could cause this? I was doing
about 140.... Oh, and I noticed it might've come on right after some cop
flipped me over while I was powerbraking.  Could this be related? The
temperature seems to be fine, though the guage is kind of fuzzy so it's hard
to tell. Is this something I should even worry about? Thanks!
