I've got one of the cars Neal mentioned on his list.  I picked up my '86
Quantum Syncro for $1300.  If you live in a wintry area, there's no way you
can beat a QSW if you need a cheap family hauler.  Lots of space and 4wd.
If you don't live in a wintry area, you can expand you search to 2wd
Quantums and early Passat wagons.  I know of a couple of QSW's for sale if
you're interested.
