The VDO is built like a cheesy toy, and the Motometer is a well
designed robust speedometer.  Plastic gears in the VDO, stupid
design for the trip odo reset...metal gears on the Moto, great
design on the reset...for instance.  I happen to have a 160 VDO
in my mk2, can't be choosy sometimes. :)
