  i know that someone's going to raise the question, but these are (or
look like) the numbers from the chassis, under the hood, above(?) the
rain tray, or, at least, they are here in the u.s.  all of my 8v's
follow the wvwLL# configuration (L = model variation (ie - sport,
deluxe, etc.); L = type of engine; # - type of restraint system). this
is what we use as our vin over here.
