So I was glancing thru the classifieds today, looking for Scirocco stuff -
happened across an '88 16v for $1200.

Zipped down there from work, and took a look at it.  It's been in one
accident, a light hit in the front, repaired (the hood isn't aligned
properly).  Drove nicely, but needs a master cylinder (new one was
included.).

148k miles.  Little/no slop in the shifter.

Needless to say, it's mine now. :)

Aww yeah. :)
