Car suddenly dies

It seems to be a heat related problem.I drove fast on the highway for
10-15 minutes then was waiting in traffic for a few minutes(the temp
rises). I start to drive , and in a few meters the catr suddenly dies. I
was able to start it right away & drive again(on the highway for 5
minutes. When  I got  off & into traffic it died again. Didn't start
again (turns over but doesn't catch) ,(tried every 5-10 minutes) until I
waited 30 minutes (I presume it cooled down) and it started. Drove a few
blocks and it died again.Had to wait about 40 minutes before it started
again.Drove home from work with heater on full( it was 30 deg. celsius)
and it didn't die.I have new cap& rotor, wires.
 Coil?Transfer pump (no unusual buzzing, seems constant from fuel
pump)?Jumped the terminals in the fuel pump relay, and the pump ran but
it didn't start.
....Thoughts?....
