Emissions hoses

So those emissions hoses that go the the charcoal canister in my fender
(groundhog destroyed them)

Can I drive without these for awhile?

Btw, my bentley says the charcoal filter is connected to / near the air
filter, not in my fender.  Either I have the wrong book, or that dude is
just wrong sometimes :P
