It's been pretty well know for awhile that the plastic gear in the 
ODO will split  after so many thousands & thousands of miles.

Guess VDO would say "What!?, Look how long it lasted!"

Fix involves opening the thing up and 1. knurling the metal shaft & 
gluing the gear back on or 2. finding a metal gar to replace it. 
(Good luck).

Might be a time to get in contact with that Palo Alto Speedo shop we 
where talking about. (Randy, they are right Downtown P.A., Ca)


Hmmmm, wonder what a Google search might find...
