Re: where to get a 'good' radiator
I really honestly dont think the mixture will make that much of a difference
from 60/40 to 50/50, even with a 16v...this is of course assuming you are
running the 16v radiator. I usually top it off with water anyway.
Get the low temp fan switch, low temp thermostat, use distilled water with
the coolant instead of tap water, and if all else fails get your radiator
flushed and rodded (about $40-60). The guy who did it said there wasnt much
to clean out but I noticed that it ran cooler. Around town, it NEVER gets
much higher than halfway, even in the taco bell drive thru in +100 degree
weather. I couldnt believe it! on a 16v?? I also removed the A/C, that
helped just a little, but not much.
