As far as assembling the head I would just make sure that the guides are in
decent shape (no, you don't have to change them everytime you pull your head
off--only had 30K on it, everything is probably fine, automatic exhaust
valves and guide replacement is only on the 16v heads unless the head
"needs" rebuilding).  I would also make sure you replace the valve seals and
you might want to do some port smoothing, lap in the valves and possibly
deshroud them.  Whenever a question like this is asked you HAVE to inform on
the amount of money you are wanting to spend because you COULD have the
thing maxed out at this point in time or you could just slam the thing on
and go since it only has 30K on it.  Anyway, HTH!!
