Just my .02 here.... but they are tried and tested. :^) Don't use brake
fluid or any other crazy solvent if you plan to paint. At least not for
adhesive reasons. Just clean them the best as you can using sand paper or
steel wool. Trust me,.... that paint will be gone in no time. Even if you
use ceramic type paint. (though it will last a bit longer) Now I haven't
run the new motor I have built for my little project but I did have that
header powder coated with a high temp black. (good to 1400 degrees) I
would hope that it will last for a while. :^) Hope the thoughts help ya.
