CLeaning Header What to Clean With?
I bought an exhaust header for my 8v. It's never been used but was sitting
in a guys garage and got some surface rust on it. It was originally painted
black but I descided to strip it down to the bare metal and repaint it a
nice color. I've mostly sanded and dremeled it down but some of the smaller
spaces are really hard to get to and the inside has a little rust too. I'm
trying to think of something I can just let it bath in and have all that
stuff come right off. What I was think was antifreeze. I remember I
container I use to carry in my truck leaked and stripped some of the paint
down the the bare metal so I thought this my be a nifty idea. Any other
solutions I could soak it in. Nothing too toxic, I can at least touch
antifreeze with my hands and not have them melt away :o) so no
hyrdochloric acid suggestions! Thanks!
