Re: Muffler Found!!
Just have to add to the thread a little more!! Today on the way home (on
the home stretch, no pun intended) I made my last turn then once it was in
2nd, stomped it to the floor until I hit 6K, shift, 6K, shift let off. I
was close to 100 and this is the 1/4 mile section that I test my car on. I
am now a FIRM believer that these 16v motors NEED some back pressure for
them to be at the top of their heap. I think I can actually feel the rest
of the stuff I have added to the engine come alive now as well. Now I can
understand how Shannon feels: "This piece of crap car" "This car is sooooo
bad!!" "What a hunk of junk" "Man that thing is running harder than
ever!". A few little tweaks one way or the other can REALLY make a
difference on these motors especially when the get crankier with cams and
high compression and stuff. Anyhoo, just thought I'd brag, or I mean fill
you all in!!
