'My Buddy Al' has a WHITE Champaign Edition (1978). They predate the S
models but did not ness come with the logo graphics. 

(His has a black stripe on the top surface of the body running under the
windows from the rear C pillar to the front of the fenders.) 

It was a spiffier, limited edition car, no extra performance additions.
Kind of like modern Wolfsburg or Carat editions today.
