coupla Mk2 questions

Hey there list.. I'm still breaking in my new '84.

#1. I yanked an aftermarket sunroof out of my friend's old junked '80 
Rabbit, and want to put it in my car. My buddy put one in his Saab, so he's 
pretty familiar with the procedure. I was just wondering how good or bad an 
idea you all think this is. I've noticed the sunroof is pretty wide, too.. 
it'll end up leaving only a couple inches of roof on either side of it.

#2. I have a very freaked out instrument cluster. It seems that power to the 
bank of LEDs, temp and gas gauges, and tach cuts on and off all the time 
(note that inst cluster lights do not blink sporadically). If power is 
getting there, then the tach is pegged. It actually worked for about 20 
seconds today, though. Should I just replace the cluster if it's bugging me 
enough, or is there a repair for it? Does VW sell just the circuit board for 
this?

#3. I got it aligned as best I could at a garage (it was hit in the rear), 
but I still get a buzzing vibration when I step on the brakes. This happens 
as soon as I start putting the slighest pressure on the brake pedal. Bad 
rotors?
