Cops and Pizza [Scirocco story]

On Saturday nite, I pulled into a local pizza joint to
pick up a couple of pizzas that I had ordered. I
noticed two squad cars parked in the lot adjacent to
the pizza joint. 

I get a little nervous around cops these days, mainly
becuz of a jerk cop that gave me a ticket on a POS
pickup that I was driving earlier this year. It seems
that someone ripped off the front tag - I explained
this to the guy. Even though I was about a half mile
from home - the dork (I'm being nice) wrote me a $50
ticket anyway). I subsequently sold the truck . . 

Back to the pizza story . . .

I'm carrying the pizzas out to the car and I see a
police officer looking at my car (1978 Scirocco). Now
what? I say hello and the guy asks me what year
Scirocco it is (I breath a sigh of relief). It turns
out that the guy had owned two Sciroccos (both MK1)
and he misses them dearly. We chatted for about 5
minutes about Sciroccos (he had his up to 95 mph - I
did not volunteer that I've been 115 mph in a
Scirocco!)

Strange but true . . .
