The AMD usually runs better than a given Pentium of the same sped so I'd
say it was a wash.

The MMX part is special codes that respond if the programer has written
for it, otherwise it's not doing anything. Meant to speed up graphics &
games and such.

$30 aint bad but it's only a little jump in Mhz.
