I don't think it's a measurment of the temp- more like it's the lower
temp helps the car run better given it's current settings. Lower temp =
denser air, burns better cause it holds more air/fuel per given volume.

Bypass during cold start sticking? (O2 sensor safe carb cleaner), 5th
injector not spraying clean?

You might have a really rich condition going on.

After you get all the chances or air leaks worked out; injector seals,
braided rubber vacumm hose ends replaced, rubber boot and intake cracks
eliminated, etc then you might take it to a good local shop and ave them
stick the alien probe up the tail pipe on the 10k$ machine and get it
reset. You should be able to maintane it from there.
