FS:85 8v (not mine) $1500 obo.

This is not my car as the list knows I'm actively looking for a car.
Just another post in the long list of postings.

I found this one today

Basic Facts:
1985
8v 90hp motor.
100282 (120 mph speedo)
Automatic
Sunroof
color is a greenish silver.
paint redone by somebody there is evidence of paint flaking in the roof
rails and long the rear window.


interior:
interior matches.
a single karmann badge on the driver B-pillar.
Seats are cloth.and sun faded.
Driver seat is still very stiff.
has one small hole. in the bottom bolster about 1"x0.5"
Dash is very nice, evidence of some cracking  <1/4" around the defroster
holes. (still armor-alled)
Rear deck no mounting gear but the deck is solid no speaker holes
Sony Cassette deck + 10 Disk Changer mounted in trunk.
Sunroof does work and looked like the flip-up version but needs the new
plastic bits to work smoothly. No evidence of leaks.
Carpet looked good.
Had floor mats.


Running gear:
some evidence of oil on the outside of the oil pan.
Exhaust is either after market or worn out.
Recent new spark plug wires.
Appeared to be stock height.
All 4 corners were very soft. but shocks appeared to work.
Motor was dirty from normal use ie. dingy looking but not filthy.
According to current owner had A/C charged recently.


Exterior:
Needed washed. a few pencil eraser sized paint flecked rust spots.
Front right turn signal lens broken
rear lenses in good, but a little "smoked" from sun exposure.
Roof rails missing? plastic bits that fill the holes. paint in the rails
cracking and flaking. (paint job was ok but not great).


Current Owner:
Student from Germany.
Leaving Next Friday.
Told Him to call me if he failed to sell it.
Would make him a cash offer.

Over all impression.
Car is in very clean type condition. Current owner just drove it. and took
car of routine maint. Asked about the oil he said he changed it, but I
forgot to check the sticker.
