It's interesting that you've found the belts to be the same (at least
dimensionally?)

My understanding is that the big problem with the rear belts is that the
retractor is mounted up under the rear parcel shelf horizontally, while
the retractor on the front belt is mounted vertically - is this not
correct?  It has been some time since I have looked at the Euro version of
ETKA.

The result would be that the front retractor may not function correctly
(or at all) in the event of a collision when installed in the rear.

This is referenced by a subtle difference in the part number from front to
rear:

front (north american, 53-F-000 001 >) 533 857 705E
rear (euro, 53-F-000 001 >) 533 857 805

Now, I don't have the EURO ETKA installed on my machine, so I can't verify
the part no for the euro front belt, but I'm not sure there is a
difference.

Perhaps Lauri you could find a volunteer to sit in the back and do some
testing while you drive on bumby roads and smash into a few things to
ensure the belt locks up properly? :) :)
