The Audi pan is built for a longitudinal mounting engine. Ours are 90
degrees to that, so you swap for another. (Check the oil pump for screen
clog, pickup baffle integrity, and for play & lash while the pan is
off).

You can use a later pan, they have an additional quart capacity in them
anyway- go for it.
