non rocc)mk1 needed!

hi people,
     as you may or may not have heard my 87 scirocco 16v was wreaked by a 
"test driver!". some guy was test driving it and he went off the road and 
killed my baby. but the good news is i am getting the car back from the 
insurence co. and i am now in the market for a mk1 gti, mk1 jetta gli,mk1 
jetta 2dr, or rabbit pick up to throw my rocc engine and tranny into, i need 
it to be a running car with minimal rust. i dont care about milage or 
interior..   i need to drive it for the rest of the winter before i can 
start my project. If anyone has one of those cars they would like to get rid 
of ( for under $1000 or really close to) please write back..
              also any tips and trick for the swap would be helpful.

oh yeah! i will travel to some extent the closer to VT the better..
