[advice] to buy or not to buy a torque wrench??
well, i've contemplated this purchase for many years...
and after having stripped stuff in the past, i get a somewhat nervous
feeling when i start torqueing down screws by hand..
so, i started looking around (since i keep running across the usual "150 Nm
(111 ft.lb.)" scenario) and have one dilemma.
i want to get the kind that you can preset rather than the
dial/pointer-arm-kind. but the ones i want are more specific range-wise,
and cost upwards of $50!
now, i could get two of the old kind for that are good for many ranges from
the lower 30 ft.lb. to well over 111 ft.lbs. for the price of one of the
cooler kind. still, the reality is this.. in the places where you need to
work on/in the car, does a long torque wrench even fit?? or is it one of
these things where i can only really use a torque wrench if my car's up on
the lift and the engines on a dolly?
