Well, we tried to swap my 16v TT cat/downpipe onto my bro's 81 to get his car to pass smog. Doesn't work that way. The flanges are different sizes. His car has a dual outlet manifold with a TT race downpipe with the same size piping all the way back to a supertrapp. If I got a stock downpipe and an OEM cat, would it fit in place of the race downpipe?
