CC search - need input & feedback from CC-endowed (hehe)

Folks,

I need to know if anyone has factory CC on their 16v rocco, and if so, is it
automatic (that is, factory auto)?  Additionally, anyone done a CC install
to a 16v?

I found a '86 GLi and early Golf GTi w/ cruise control in my local junkyard.
However, looking at the system makes me think that some CC elements for the
rocco are model-specific.  In particular, it looks like the linkage &
mounting bracket for the servo-to-throttle body is different.  There could
be other stuff, too; I don't know.  And all this is from 8v cars; I suspect
CC for 16vs is different?

I am wondering what crap I should just snag now and pick up the rest at a
later time (hopefully).  The GLi is schweet.

SOMEONE give me some INPUT!!!!!
