  Pat,

 What width/offset rim are you looking at getting?  I run a 7.5" wide
rim with 35mm offset with 205 tires & Koni sports and I get no rubbing
up front (even with only a pinkies width between tire and fender), but I
do get some in the rear under heavy load.  I shaved my rear fender lip
to prevent rubbing, but I still get some every so often, but its real
minor rubbing.  I did a little write-up on this for the Mk1 if you're
interested, its on my site.
