[Tech] Schaeffer Motor Oil

Awhile back there was a discussion about motor oils. I want to tell you
about an oil that I have been using for the past year from a company
called Schaeffer Oil. Aside from all the techincal information I can
testify that my gas mileage has gotten much better. I have done two
trips to Indianapolis, Indiana from Milwaukee about a 300 mile drive. I
usually don't drive less than 80mph and during one trip followed a New
Bettle at speeds of approx. 100mph. I was suprised that when I went to
fill my tank it only took 10 gallons. Now it doesn't take a rocket
scientist to figure out that is 30 mpg. Wow! I knew that it was
suppose to give me better mileage but not that good. Over all I am very
happy with the results both mileage and any other benefits. I have used
some of their other product and they also hold up to their claims. What
started my search for a better oil was when I added a 2.0L block I
quickly found out that unlike my old reliable 1.8 it used/consumed more
oil because of the change in oil ring thickness. 2.0L are rated at
1qt/1000 miles. And as I drive alot and my Scirocco goes everywhere
with me I was trying to find an oil that would slow that process down.
It helped alittle but I found other benefits from it as explained above.
I live in Wisconsin and run the same oil winter and summer with no
problems. And as you may know it does get cold around here once in a
while.

I suggest everyone should try this, I think you would be pleased and
your roc will like it too.
