[OT] Ve Have Vays of Stomping V8's

So stop at the store to pick up a six pack of Becks (had to throw that in there for the German content)...On my way out of the store, I hear some dude revving his very loud Iroc engine..."uh, yeah!" I think as I hop into the my Roc...He pulls out of the parking lot ahead of me very fast (kinda made me mad, you shouldn't drive like that in a crowded supermarket parking lot). There is a light getting out of the lot. He is in front of me. The light turns green, he starts out real slow, kinda just rolling and then slams on it to, I don't know, impress me...I stay with him, yawning as we come to the next light. Now I pull along side him. He jokes with his girlfriend as he revs his engines and jumps the line a little bit. I rev my 16v a little as I roll back, then forward, and then back and forward again...The light turns green, we both light 'em up a bit, engines screaming, I take first gear out, bang into second hear that sweet chirping sound as my tires grab, BAM! I am 1 1/2 car lengths ahead of him!!! From stop light to stop light, as we approach the next intersection, I casually put my blinker on and get into his lane, I earned it, without cutting him off...Then I make my turn and go home, yelling the whole time to myself "YEAH BABY, 'DAS WHAT I'M TALKIN' 'BOUT, IROC THIS!!!"....It was a definite all out 150 yard dash, and the lowly 16v with the 4k tranny stomped the shit out of his overrated Chevy 350, that's all there is to it, no bullshit, no excuses, I won! A victory not only for myself, but a victory to share with the list...Ahh, that's why we love this cars, so unpredictable...So the next time you have to work in the cold to replace a passenger side motor mount, think of how much you really love your car...Now I will go and enjoy those Beck's...Later ;-0
