Re: [tech] 2.0 block mods.



OK here's what I did,

83 mm pistons from www.part4vws.com (about $500)
new main bearings and rod bearings from same place
New intermediate shaft bearings from same place
New lightened flywheel from same place ($100 +)

Then I took all of this to a local machine shop. They bored and honed for
the new pistons. Re-sized the rods. Pressed in the new intermediate shaft
bearings. Polished the crank. Balanced all parts. (about $450 all together)

Then I put it all back together.
