weird oil buzzer sounds
Probably the oil pressure control unit is faulty. It is located inside the
instrument cluster behind the speedometer (small circuit board). To get to
the unit you must first get the instrument cluster out. Then disasamble it
by removing the 8 philliphs head screws located on the back of the cluster.
Then pry out the printed circuit connectors from the cluster itself. Put the
cluster on a table with the gauges looking towards you. Lift the front part
upwards toward you. Then youll see a Small board behind the speedometer's
face plate. This is the oil pressure control unit. Unlock the board from
some small plastic pins that hold the board in place from it's sides. Pry
the circuit board very carefully towards the face plate of the gauge. Then
move it towards the upper part of the cluster and it shold come out.
Installation is the reverse of removal. This procedure came from the Bentley
Manual. If you dont want to do all this buy a used instrument cluster and
install it instead of yours (you'll have to adjust the milage on it though).
